What You Can Do

Call, write, e-mail, or fax Iams and Proctor & Gamble. Tell them that you won’t buy Iams products for your animal companions until they stop conducting experiments on animals and, instead, rely on laboratory analysis of formulas for nutritional composition and in-home studies using dogs and cats who have been volunteered by their human companions.

Educate others in your community by writing a letter to the editor. (Click here for PETA’s tips on how to write a letter to the editor.)

Take Iams literature to your local pet stores, veterinary offices, and animal shelters. Talk with the people at these places and encourage them to stock dog and cat food that is not tested on animals in labs. You may want to check out our frequently asked questions.

Spend an hour over the weekend or during lunch hour handing out Iams literature at your local dog park. We’ll send you the literature for free! Engage people in conversation about Iams’ cruelty. You may want to check out our frequently asked questions.

Sponsor a billboard in your community. Click here to see what we have available. Then, find a billboard company that will post the board, make sure you can afford it, then click here to contact PETA’s advertising representative.

If you hear of an upcoming Iams-sponsored dog walk in your community, please let us know and do contact us for ways to represent animals.
