Veterinary Pet Insurance Ensures Animals Are Dead

The Iams Company has an 8.9 percent ownership in Veterinary Pet Services, Inc., parent company of the Veterinary Pet Insurance Company (VPI), for a total investment of $6 million.

Iams profits by exploiting animals at both ends of the spectrum—those suffering and miserable animals imprisoned in laboratories for the company’s cruel and unnecessary experiments and those animals fortunate enough to be insured by the people who care about their health and well-being.

Please ask Veterinary Pet Services, Inc., to either end its relationship with Iams or, at the very least, call on Iams to stop conducting laboratory tests on animals and, instead, rely on chemical analysis of formulas for nutritional composition and on in-home studies using dogs and cats whose human companions have volunteered them for such tests:

We received a report that Stephens is a “trophy” hunter and that he plans to add a lion and a cheetah to his collection. Upon further investigation, we discovered that Grassland Safaris, located in South Africa, has listed Stephens as a reference.

(If you have a plan with VPI, please let Mr. Stephens know. Other pet insurance companies can be found via the Internet.)
